LEONBench

LEONBench is a standalone bench test system for FCT, ICT, ISP and Boundary Scan with support for manual and vacuum fixtures.

It’s a flexible and scalable test system that features an excellent signal integrity and a high-quality fixture interface. This is achieved by combining a cableless connection from ABex modules to Virginia panel interface connectors. The system is optimized for high pin count test applications. Furthermore, it can be equipped with vacuum and pneumatic. Support for multi-level contact fixtures enables separate contact levels for FCT and ICT. The Konrad ITA (Interchangeable Test Adapter) frame allows various fixture houses to build custom fixtures for the LEONBench. Additional rack space (up to 15 units) allows addition of high-performance measurement devices from various manufactures. An integrated power distribution unit provides power on and off sequencing.

As part of the LEON Family, LEONBench is based on the ABex platform which directly incorporates Konrad analog bus technology and PXI/PXIe in one chassis.

KT-CAMULATOR Camera Direct Injection Solution

KT-CAMULATOR serves as a data bridge from virtual simulators to an Electronic Control Unit (ECU) while emulating the authentic behavior of a camera. Using the KT-CAMULATOR, test engineers can effectively validate a wide range of camera-based ADAS/AD systems. The solution supports up to 16 HDMI inputs with simultaneous emulation of multiple camera data streams, where users can easily configure and synchronize multiple cameras.

  • Emulating multiple synchronized camera image data and Backchannel Com.
  • Providing configurable imager behavior with embedded data manipulation.
  • Manipulate image data for non-standard video formats
  • Choose input from recorded files or HDMI
  • Support GMSL2/3, FPDLink3/4 interfaces
  • The switch to real cameras with the TAP
  • Unified user interface, single point of control for all settings and parameters.
  • I2C Emulation & Translation: Continuously emulates camera and interacts with ECU
  • Imager Emulation: Emulates the Imager functionalities and generates embedded lines of data to the next frame being streamed out. It continuously interacts with ECU and processes the embedded data with new register values updated by ECU.
  • TAP Real Camera: I2C TAP or Video TAP
  • Frame Synchronization: Synchronizes the streaming image data with ECU through GPIO trigger
  • Fault Injection: Supports dropping a frame from the output stream.
  • Input source: Supports 3 types of input sources
  • LVDS-Interface: Supports two LVDS (Low-voltage differential signaling) interfaces, GMSL and FPDLink.
  • Multiple Inputs: Accepts multiple HDMI inputs with different video properties (resolution, fps, formats, bit depths).
  • Format Conversion: User can choose the appropriate output format
  • Custom Resolution: User can choose cropping/padding feature to customize the resolution.

Ultrafast Electrical LV 124 / LV 148 Fault Testing

Testing electrical faults and interruptions in accordance with LV 124 / LV 148 and related norms has historically required time-intensive manual methods, delaying product time to market.

To eliminate this bottleneck, Konrad Technologies has partnered with WKS Informatik to bring the first fully-automated electrical fault testing system to the Americas. RTStand automates test execution, data logging, and reporting. Any electrical component or ECU in a vehicle can be tested on the RTStand common platform.

Battery Cell Quality Monitoring

Over the years Konrad Technologies has helped some of the largest automotive suppliers and OEMs to address their electric and hybrid battery testing needs. Our team provides expertise in testing battery packs components such as battery cells, safety elements, and sensors. We support our clients through the entire development cycle: from the requirements development to the production test.

Konrad Technologies designed and developed a Battery Cell Monitoring System for long-term monitoring of 950 battery cell voltages distributed across ten thermal chambers (incubators). The system performs one ten-second measurement on each cell daily, with a sampling rate of 1 Hz. It logs the values and compares them against defined limits, generating an alarm for each cell failure. A multiplexer switch is used to sequentially make these measurements, ensuring that there’s no electrical connection to the cells except during the actual measurement intervals. The centralized architecture allowed the solution to be delivered at a fraction of the cost of deploying a dedicated measurement system at each incubator.
