Sensor Test for Validation and Production Tests • Sensor Fusion Test Workbenches • ADAS Function Test

Konrad Technologies is a pioneer for ADAS test. We offer test options  for  77GHz automotive radar test systems, sensor fusion test systems, and HIL-based test applications for ADAS functional tests. Our company develops scalable, flexible, and reliable test systems and simulators for camera, radar and lidar sensors that enable both OEMs and suppliers to meet their test needs and quality metrics for validation and production test applications. Konrad Technologies delivers standalone systems, integrated systems, and engineering services for custom solutions built to your requirements.

Konrad Technologies provides reliable and high throughput solutions for automotive sensor production test. Our expertise include semi-automatic assembly and complete test lines for automotive radar, camera, and lidar sensors.

As ADAS sensors gain adoption for safety critical systems, Konrad Technologies delivers scalable and flexible test workbenches for rigorous Validation & Verification (V&V) test applications. Implement regression and repeatability tests with confidence using measurement-based and scenario-based test methods.

As most ADAS functions will use at least two ADAS sensors, Konrad Technologies offers a unique and effective test method, Sensor Fusion HIL Test, for simultaneously testing the sensor package with the ADAS ECU in a lab environment.

NI Solution Brief: Vehicle Radar Test System (KT VRTS)

The KT VRTS is a standalone radar test bench for 24GHz and/or 76-82GHz radar sensors. Modular and scalable by design, it can be configured to meet specific or comprehensive radar validation test plans. The KT VRTS combines RF parametric measurement-based tests with object emulation-based tests for functional and performance radar sensor validation across the entire sensor Field of View (FOV). Regression, repeatability, thermal, and shaking tests can be easily integrated for a complete design validation test plan.

NI Solution Brief: KT ADAS/AD Sensor Fusion HIL Test Workbench

The KT ADAS/AD Sensor Fusion HIL Test Workbench is a configurable, PXI-based sensor and chassis HIL test workbench that enables Automated Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and Autonomous Driving (AD) functionality to be reliably and safely tested in a lab environment. Combinations of sensors and Electronic Control Units (ECU), with ADAS/AD algorithms can be tested together in a Hardware In the Loop (HIL) test. The workbench can be configured for multiple radar, camera, LiDAR, and ultrasonic sensors with connectivity to most 3rd party modelling and simulation software and hardware platforms available in the market. Users can implement test scenarios for regulatory standards such as NCAP.

One Test Platform Across ADAS V Development Flow

Accelerate Your ADAS Development Cycle!

Konrad Technologies is a solution provider for innovative next generation ADAS test systems that combine measurement-based and scenario-based simulation test methods. Our systems optimize performance and validation tests of ADAS sensors (radar, camera, ultrasonic, and lidar) and ADAS functions before drive tests.

The biggest challenge for ADAS test is the variety of sensors coupled with AI and deep learning capabilities that require component, sub-system, and system level testing and validation throughout the V development flow cycle. Such tests require data management for the large quantities of real-time data from different sensors such as Radar, Lidar, Ultrasonic and Camera systems together with key vehicle components like braking systems and Engine Control Units (ECUs). A multi-level test approach is required to ensure reliability of ADAS functional performance for passenger safety.

Based on the modular and scalable NI software and hardware approach, Konrad Technologies ADAS test platform is used  in test applications from Software in the Loop (SIL), Hardware in the Loop (HIL), Driver in the Loop (DIL), and Vehicle in the Loop (VIL) to reduce the overall development effort and costs before the Drive Test. We call this platform the KT ADAS/AD Sensor Fusion XIL Test Workbench.
